Honoring a reggae pioneer and her lasting impact on Caribbean music and global culture.

Patricia “Pat” Chin, co-owner of VP Records, was honored with the Presidential Service Award at Voorhees University in Denmark, South Carolina, in celebration of Women’s History Month. She was recognized for her trailblazing career in the reggae industry and her impact on Caribbean music, highlighting her role as a guest speaker and community leader.

After her powerful speech, she took time to connect with a group of international students from Jamaica, sharing words, stories, and inspiration that crossed borders.
